Thanks to an overwhelming response, we have exceeded our goal for participating families. We are still accepting donations and volunteers to help us serve as many children as possible.

Brighten the Holidays for Detroit’s Children

DABO’s Make Christmas Merry program helps provide free holiday gifts for children in Metro Detroit whose families are experiencing financial hardship. We have now reached our application capacity for 2025 and are no longer accepting new sign-ups.

If you’d like to support the program, you can still donate gifts, contribute financially, or volunteer to help us make Christmas very merry for as many children as possible.

Want to help a child this season? Here’s how to get involved:

  • Shop Our Amazon Wish List — Purchase new, age-appropriate gifts that will be shipped directly to DABO

  • Make a Financial Gift — We’ll purchase needed gifts where supply is short

  • Volunteer — Assist with sorting, wrapping, packing, or gift distribution

  • Spread the Word — Share this program with family, friends, and local organizations
