The Detroit Association of Black Organizations (DABO) is proud to announce that Dr. Cornel West will be the keynote speaker for their Community Empowerment Speaker Series. This event is open to the public, and members of the press are encouraged to attend.

A group of influential voices will converge at Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI to show solidarity with the United Auto Workers (UAW) members who are striking. Dr. Cornel West, a distinguished philosopher and political activist, Rev. Horace Sheffield, the CEO of The Detroit Association of Black Organizations, and Mary Sheffield, Council President of the City of Detroit, will join the strikers on Wednesday, September 27th.
