Today the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) announced that Detroit is one of nine communities chosen to receive the 2023 RWJF Culture of Health Prize. The Prize celebrates communities across the country where people and organizations are collaborating to build positive solutions to barriers that have created unequal opportunities for health and well-being.

UAW strikers at Ford Michigan Assembly Plant will receive support from prominent leaders Wednesday
A group of influential voices will converge at Ford Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI to show solidarity with the United Auto Workers (UAW) members who are striking. The Detroit Association of Black Organizations (DABO) has opened its doors to the Dr. LaVonne M. Sheffield Bridge Center Library. At a press conference Friday, they cut the ribbon to the new building and announced two new partnerships bringing more educational opportunities to Detroiters.
